TextSanity’s Alexa Skill for SMS Marketing

The TextSanity skill for Amazon Alexa gives TextSanity users the ability to text message contacts from various Alexa-enabled devices. Send text messages to existing customers. Even schedule messages to customers with only a few words.

How to link your TextSanity account to Alexa Skill:

  1. Navigate to http://alexa.amazon.com on your phone, tablet, computer, or any other device that has access to the internet. You can also access the Alexa app on your phone.
  2. Log in to your Amazon Alexa account.
  3. Once you’re logged in, click on “Settings” in the TextSanity Skill settings.
  4. Click on “Link Account” and input your TextSanity username and password.

Once your account is linked, you can start sending and scheduling text messages.

How to activate TextSanity Skill in Amazon Alexa:

Example 1: Say “send a message” to send an immediate message to a single contact in your TextSanity account.

Example 2: Say “schedule a broadcast” to schedule a mass text message. Choose a specific date and time to all contacts under a specific tag.

Example 3: Say “send to a phone number” to send a text message to a specific contact.

Here are some additional ways you can ask Alexa to send a message, schedule a broadcast, and send a message to a specific phone number.

If you want to send a text message:

1. “Alexa ask TextSanity”

2. “Send a message”

3. Tell Alexa a contact name to search for

4. Tell Alexa the message you want to send

If you want to schedule a broadcast or mass text message:

1. “Alexa, open TextSanity”

2. “Broadcast a message”

3. Tell Alexa a tag in your TextSanity account to message

4. Choose a date (e.g. “tomorrow”)

5. Choose a time (e.g. “four p.m.”)

6. Tell Alexa the message you want to broadcast

If you want to send a message to a phone number:

1. “Alexa, open TextSanity”

2. “Send to a phone number”

3. Tell Alexa a contacts’ phone number

4. Tell Alexa the message you want to send

Remember the contact(s) receiving the messages will see the approved sender’s registered TextSanity phone number on their caller ID.
